Heavenly Cinnamon Roll Bars
Heavenly Cinnamon Roll Bars
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Cream cheese frosting (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and set it aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla extract together, then pour them into the flour mixture. Stir until combined and the dough comes together.
Press two-thirds of the dough into the prepared baking pan, creating an even layer.
In another bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and ground cinnamon until smooth.
Pour the cinnamon mixture over the dough in the baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Crumble the remaining dough over the cinnamon mixture. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top if desired.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
Drizzle with cream cheese frosting before serving.
