Here's what you'll need:
Ingredients:
• 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 cup boiling water
• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
. In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
. Stir in boiling water until the batter is well combined. The batter will be thin.
. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
. For the frosting, beat peanut butter and butter together until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy and smooth.
