Ingredients:

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 ounces milk chocolate chips
2 tablespoons vegetable shortening

Directions:

Prepare the Filling:

In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Shape the Eggs:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Shape the peanut butter mixture into egg shapes using your hands or an egg-shaped mold.
Place the shaped eggs on the prepared baking sheet.
Freeze the eggs for 30 minutes to set.

Chocolate Coating:

In a microwave-safe bowl, add the milk chocolate chips and vegetable shortening.
Melt in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Using a fork, dip each peanut butter egg into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's completely coated.
Gently tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
Place the coated eggs back on the parchment paper.

Set and Decorate:

Refrigerate the coated eggs until the chocolate sets, about 30 minutes.
Optionally, drizzle any remaining melted chocolate over the eggs for additional decoration.
