Cheese Bolognaise Rolls
Ingredients (for 4 to 6 persons)
For the Bolognese prank:
500g ground meat (beef or mix beef/pork)
1 finely chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 can (400 g) of crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons of tomato concentrate
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
1 teaspoon of dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/4 cup (60 ml) of water or broth
For the rolls:
8 large lasagna sheets (cooked al dente)
1 cup (100 g) grated mozzarella
1/2 cup (50 g) grated parmesan
For the sauce and toppings:
1 cup (250 ml) tomato sauce or marinara
1/2 cup (125 ml) sour cream or ricotta (optional)
1 cup (100 g) grated mozzarella for grating
Some fresh basil leaves to decorate
Preparation
1. Prepare the bolognese:
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Saute the onion until translucent, then add garlic and minced meat.
Cook the meat until it is a golden brown color. Season with salt, pepper, oregano and basil
Combine crushed tomatoes, tomato concentrate and water (or broth).
Let simmer on low heat for 15 minutes, until the sauce is thoroughly reduced.
2. Preparing lasagna sheets:
Cook lasagna sheets in salted water according to instructions, ensuring they remain slightly firm (to dente). Drain them and let them cool off on a clean linen.
3. Roller assembly:
Spread a layer of bolognese on each lasagna sheet.
Mozzarella and grated parmesan parssemez.
Gently roll each leaf to form rolls.
4. Cooking:
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
In a baking dish, spread a layer of tomato sauce or marinara. Add some sour cream or ricotta if desired.
Arrange stuffed lasagna rolls in the plate, joint down.
Cover in tomato sauce and sprinkle generously with grated mozzarella.
5. Gratinage :
Bake in oven for 20 minutes, until rolls are nicely hot and cheese is melted and golden brown.
6. Serve :
Decorate with fresh basil leaves.
Serve warm with a green salad or garlic bread.
