Ingredients
For the Ice Cream Base:
● 2 cups (480ml) heavy cream
● 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
● ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
● 1 tbsp vanilla extract
● A pinch of salt
● 4 large egg yolks
For the Moose Tracks Mix-ins:
● ½ cup (120g) peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
● ½ cup (120ml) chocolate fudge sauce
● ½ cup (60g) mini peanut butter cups, chopped
Instructions
Make the Ice Cream Base

In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt.
Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm (but not boiling).
In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks until smooth. Gradually pour the warm cream mixture into the yolks while whisking constantly (tempering).
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until slightly thickened and it coats the back of a spoon (about 5–7 minutes).
Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove any curdled bits. Stir in vanilla extract. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Churn the Ice Cream

Pour the chilled base into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20–25 minutes).
During the last few minutes, add chopped mini peanut butter cups to the mixture.
Swirl in the Moose Tracks

Transfer the churned ice cream to a mixing bowl or storage container.
Gently swirl in peanut butter and chocolate fudge sauce to create ribbons without fully mixing. Add extra peanut butter cups for added crunch if desired.
Freeze

Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight for a firmer consistency.
Serve

Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy the perfect balance of creamy, fudgy, and crunchy textures!
Tips:

No Ice Cream Maker? Freeze the mixture in a shallow dish, stirring every 30 minutes until it reaches the desired consistency.
Customize Mix-ins: Add crushed cookies, caramel swirls, or chopped nuts for extra fun.
Topping Ideas: Drizzle with chocolate syrup or peanut butter for an extra indulgent touch.
