Bacon-Wrapped Chicken with Creamy Dijon Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
8 slices bacon, cut in half lengthwise
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Creamy Dijon Sauce:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon honey
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Wrap the Bacon: Wrap each chicken strip with half a slice of bacon. Secure with toothpicks if necessary.
Cook the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon-wrapped chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
Make the Creamy Dijon Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the Dijon mustard, heavy cream, lemon juice, and honey. Cook and stir until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve: Serve the chicken with the creamy Dijon sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
Tips:
For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the seasoning.
You can use any type of bacon you like.
Serve the chicken with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a green salad.
Enjoy!
