Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brewed chai tea (cooled)
- 1/4 cup milk
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves).
3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Alternately mix in the dry ingredients and the chai tea and milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
