Tasty Quiche with Ham and Cheese
Ingredients
For the broken pastry:
250 g of flour
125 gm of cold butter cut into cubes
1 pinch of salt
1 œuf
2 c. with cold water soup
For the quiche machine:
200 g of ham, cut into pieces
150g grated cheese (Emmental, Comte or Gruyere)
3 eggs
30 cl thick sour cream
10 cl of milk
1 pinch of nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Prepare the smashed dough
In a salad bowl mix flour and salt.
Add the cold butter cut into small pieces and sand the tips of your fingertips until you get a granular texture.
Insert egg and cold water, then form a homogeneous ball.
Film and let sit in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Prepare the quiche machine
In a bowl, beat eggs with cream and milk.
Add a pinch of nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Add half of the grated cheese and mix well.
Assemble and bake the quiche
Preheat the oven to 180°C (th. 6).
Spread the dough and put it in a tart mold. Stick the bottom with a fork
Spread the ham cubes over the batter, then pour the quiche maker.
Paste the rest of the grated cheese on top.
Bake for 40 minutes until the quiche is golden brown.
Tips and preservation
For an even crispier dough, knead it for 10 min before adding the filling.
Add caramelized onions for an even more gourmet flavor.
Preservation: Keep it in the refrigerator for 2 days in an airtight container. Preheat the oven to 160°C for 10 minutes to get it crispy again.
