Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
Directions:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the chopped dark chocolate and cocoa powder, and continue to cook, stirring, until the chocolate is completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours. Enjoy your homemade dark chocolate delight!
