Ingredients:For the Layers:
Ingredients:
For the Layers:
2 cups mixed fresh fruits (such as strawberries, blueberries, bananas, kiwi, and peaches)
1 cup sponge cake or ladyfingers (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup vanilla pudding or custard (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup whipped cream (or whipped topping)
Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
For the Vanilla Pudding (if making homemade):
2 cups milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
Prepare the Vanilla Pudding (if making homemade):
In a saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add the milk while whisking to combine.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and butter. Let it cool.
Prepare the Fruits:
Wash and chop the mixed fruits into bite-sized pieces. If using bananas, slice them just before assembling to prevent browning.
Assemble the Trifle:
In a large glass trifle bowl or individual serving glasses, start by layering the sponge cake or ladyfingers at the bottom.
Add a layer of vanilla pudding or custard over the cake.
Next, add a layer of mixed fruits.
Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the bowl, finishing with a layer of whipped cream.
Top with Whipped Cream:
Spread the whipped cream evenly over the top layer. You can also pipe it for a decorative touch.
Garnish:
Garnish with additional fresh fruits and mint leaves for a pop of color.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1-2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled and enjoy!
Enjoy!
This Fruits Trifle is a beautiful and delicious dessert that’s perfect for any occasion!
