A decadent treat that combines rich brownie coating with delicious, safe-to-eat cookie dough filling, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth!
Ingredients:
For the Cookie Dough:
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 tbsp milk
• 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated or baked at 350°F for 5 minutes to kill bacteria)
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
For the Brownie Coating:
• 1 box brownie mix (plus the ingredients called for on the box)
• 1 cup mini chocolate chips (for coating)
Directions:
Make the Cookie Dough: In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract and milk. Gradually add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until combined. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Form the Cookie Dough Balls: Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the cookie dough and roll them into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
Prepare the Brownie Batter: While the cookie dough balls are freezing, prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions.
Coat the Cookie Dough: Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix instructions. Once the cookie dough balls are firm, dip each ball into the brownie batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
Bake the Brownie Bombs: Place the coated cookie dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake according to the brownie mix instructions, usually around 10-12 minutes, until the brownie coating is set.
Cool and Serve: Allow the brownie bombs to cool completely on a wire rack. Once cooled, melt the mini chocolate chips and drizzle over the top for an extra touch. Enjoy these indulgent treats!
