Garlic Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prepare the Coating
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
 
In a shallow dish, combine Panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
 
Step 2: Coat the Chicken
Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is fully coated.
Dredge the chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to coat it thoroughly on all sides.
 
Step 3: Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
 
Add the coated chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until the coating is golden brown.
 
Step 4: Bake the Chicken
Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish.
 
Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). The crust should be golden and crispy.
 
Step 5: Serve
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
 
Serve hot with your favorite sides, such as pasta, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
