Small Batch Smooth & Creamy Leche Flan – Rich, Silky, & Perfectly Caramelized!

🍮 Small Batch Smooth & Creamy Leche Flan – Rich, Silky, & Perfectly Caramelized! ✨

This Filipino-style flan is ultra-creamy, silky smooth, and melts in your mouth with a luscious caramel sauce. This small-batch version is perfect for 2-4 servings, so you can enjoy a homemade treat without making a huge batch!
---

Ingredients (Serves 2-4)

For the Caramel 🍯
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp water
For the Custard 🍮
3 large egg yolks 🥚
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
½ cup evaporated milk 🥛
½ tsp vanilla extract 🌿
Pinch of salt
---

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Caramel 🍯
In a small pan, heat sugar and water over medium-low heat.
Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and turns a deep golden amber color.
Quickly pour the caramel into two small ramekins or a 5-inch baking dish, swirling to coat the bottom.

2️⃣ Prepare the Flan Custard 🍮
In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove bubbles for an ultra-smooth texture.

3️⃣ Assemble & Bake 🔥
Pour the custard over the hardened caramel in the ramekins.
Cover each ramekin with foil to prevent water from getting in.
Place them in a baking dish and fill with hot water halfway up the ramekins (water bath method).
Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 30-40 minutes, or until the flan is set but slightly jiggly in the center.

4️⃣ Cool & Unmold ❄️
Let the flan cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for best results).
Run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate to let the caramel flow over the flan.

5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy! 🎉
Spoon into creamy, caramel goodness and enjoy every silky bite!

Flavor Boosting Ideas!

☕ Coffee Kick? Add ½ tsp espresso powder to the custard!
🥥 Coconut Twist? Use coconut milk instead of evaporated milk!
🍊 Citrusy Note? Add a bit of orange zest for a fresh twist!
Would you enjoy this as a solo treat or with a side of fresh fruit? 🍓🍮
