Ingredients:
For the Bars:

1 cup salted butter
1 cup smooth peanut butter
2 cups Ritz cracker crumbs (about 6 oz of Ritz crackers, crushed)
2 cups confectioner’s sugar

For the Topping:

1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
¼ cup smooth peanut butter

Directions:

Melt the Butter:

Place the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds, or until partially melted.

Mix the Base Ingredients:

Pour the partially melted butter into a large mixing bowl.
Add the peanut butter and cream together with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add the Ritz cracker crumbs and confectioner’s sugar.
Mix until all ingredients are fully combined and a cohesive mixture forms.

Prepare the Base Layer:

Dump the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly, pressing it firmly into the dish to create a smooth base.

Melt the Chocolate Topping:

Place the chocolate chips and ¼ cup peanut butter into a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on high for 45 seconds, then stir well.
If the chocolate chips aren’t fully melted, microwave for an additional 30 seconds. Stir until smooth.

Add the Topping:

Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the peanut butter base in the baking dish.
Spread it evenly to cover the entire surface.

Chill:

Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and let the bars chill for 2 hours, or until firm.

Slice and Serve:

Once chilled, remove the baking dish from the refrigerator and slice the bars into your desired size.
